Our Purpose
The Tamil Muslims Association of Minnesota (TMAMN) is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to uniting Tamil Muslim families across the state of Minnesota. We provide a platform for cultural connection, community support, and spiritual growth.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between our Tamil roots and our life in America, ensuring that every Tamil Muslim family in Minnesota feels supported, connected, and valued. Through regular events, charitable programs, and community outreach, we work together to build a stronger, more united community.
Whether you are newly arrived or have been in Minnesota for years, TMAMN is your home. We celebrate our shared culture, support one another through hardships, and grow together as a family.

Our Journey
TMAMN was born out of a simple need. Tamil Muslim families in Minnesota wanted a place to gather, celebrate Eid together, and support one another far from home. A small group of dedicated community members came together with the vision of creating an organized association that could serve the growing Tamil Muslim population across Minnesota.
From humble beginnings with just a handful of families, TMAMN has grown into an active, vibrant community organization. Over the years, we have organized Eid celebrations, charitable fundraisers, get-togethers, and educational programs, bringing hundreds of Tamil Muslim families closer together and ensuring that our rich cultural and religious heritage continues to thrive in the heart of Minnesota.

Baitul Maal
At TMAMN, we believe in taking care of every family in our community. Our Baitul Maal program ensures that no family is left behind.
We provide direct financial assistance, grocery support, and emergency aid to Tamil Muslim families experiencing hardship in Minnesota.
We collect and distribute Zakat and voluntary donations to eligible families, ensuring funds reach those who truly need it with dignity and care.
From medical bill assistance to utility support, we step in to help families navigate difficult times so they never feel alone in a new country.
We coordinate community support during the loss of a loved one, assisting families with arrangements and providing emotional support.
